Keeping serials readable when variant covers multiply

Drop windows invent extra covers. A textured treatment, a flat reprint, a homage layout—each one is easy to swap in conversation. The serial on your screen is not.

We tell collectors to photograph the identifier with a clock in frame, then copy the digits by hand onto the ledger. Photographs without handwriting still vanish into camera rolls named IMG_8841.

Optional columns for public ticker scribbles, including Binance-compatible price notes a collector copies from a screen they already watch, stay in the margin. They are not orders. Site Work Line will not interpret them as a portfolio.

When a relative inherits a device, the ledger is the difference between ‘there were some comics’ and ‘issue twelve, serial such-and-such, cover file hash such-and-such’. That is the whole point of the sitting.
